So you are a first time player . GREAT ! Our goal at PBS LLC is to insure that your first paintball experience will be a fun and memorable time.

Here at Paintball Station , we play “Mission" games. Mission games involve a goal or mission for each team. We try to avoid “elimination“ games , My reason is , for the first time player , it isn’t fun being the last person out there . To be hunted down is NOT fun for the first timers and can be scary ! Remember , you’re important ! Every paintball field needs “ first time players “.

ADVICE FOR THE FIRST TIME PAINTBALL PLAYER

IDENTIFY YOURSELF AS A FIRST TIME PLAYER…..There experienced folks on your team who will HELP and tell you what to do . Until you get to know this field , you should play in a defensive position , that is to “guard" or hide near your base or “ hold down “a position . Remember , most of the best players will not move up on your “held" position if he knows your there. You have the advantage . Eventually you may want to be more aggressive and move up to the “front" or one of the many battle areas we have. But for your first few games , it’s O K to hold back and defend !

SAVE YOUR PAINT…..I see new paintball players waste paint trying to shoot their opponents from 200 or more feet away ! Paintball Guns have an effective range of only 100 feet or so . That is only 6 car lengths . Paintballs slow down exponentially at a longer distance , so they will just bounce off your opponents , that is if you hit them at all ! You only have 200 paintballs on your gun so make them last ! You do not want to run out of paint !

BE PATIENT…..A new paintballer should WAIT for their opponent to come to them ! Until you get to know the gun and it’s limitations , hold your fire until you get a clear shot ! Guarding the base is VERY important , I’ve seen so many games where NO ONE was there to guard it and they loose the game !

BE SNEAKY AND QUIET…..If you FOLLOW the above advice , you’ll do good . If not , here’s what WILL happen…….You take a shot from too far away , and you just GAVE AWAY your position . If they’re a veteran player ( with pod packs that hold 800 extra paintballs ) they will know you’re a “newbie" because they will see your rental gun and mask . You will be blasted up ! Another trick in the woods is to throw a stick or rock to either side of you to distract and LURE them in!

ASK QUESTIONS…..We try our best to explain the rules and the games . If there is something you don’t understand , please ask!

YOUR FIRST VICTIM …..There’s nothing more satisfying than seeing your shot break on your opponent ! You just increased your teams chances of winning the game!

LISTEN TO OUR SAFETY MEETING…..Your face is FRAGILE ! An accidental hit could scar you or worse ! We have signs to remind you . READ THEM ! Put your barrel bag on and put your gun on safe when you’re out . The best time to put your barrel bag on is after you get hit ASAP!

THE FOLLOWING MISSION GAMES ARE “NEW PLAYER FRIENDLY” WHICH WE PLAY AT PAINTBALL STATION LLC.

EXAMPLES OF MISSION GAMES

CAPTURE THE BASE…..Each team battles their way to the opponent’s base and rings their bell.

DICTATOR…..Identical to Capture the Base except your Dictator is the only one who can ring the bell. The Dictator wears a special vest for identification and is armed.

MEDIC…..A medic is NOT armed but carries a cloth to wipe or “ heal “ their team mates when they get shot.

REVIVE.....Is a game where any player can revive their team mate. When you are hit, you count out loud to 20 seconds and your team mate must start reviving you. It takes them 10 seconds to revive. If you are not revived in 20 seconds, go back to respawn.

Wounded team mates must stay in their position and call for the medic.

Sometimes the wounded are in a spot where you can’t hear or reach them…….they must decide whether to go out or not. Medics are a “high value target". If used right , they are an important asset. If your gun breaks down you can still play as a medic!

ATTACK AND DEFEND…..Your team either defends your base or attacks your opponents base.

Sometimes as a paintballer is hard to find a store you can trust to sell quality products, and provide honest and good service to keep your gear working.  We want to help promote local stores that have provided us and our customers with the kind of professional service we expect.
